                                            And Then, It Was Time For The Show...


                          First to Showcase was Vonneta Simpamba of VO by Vonneta.

Next it was Patricia Mulenga of BWALI Designs, with accessories by FreeWoman Jewellery. An up and coming designer, she was awarded Zambia's Emerging Designer Award in 2013.

The third designer to Showcase was Chisenga Chibale of Chic Fashions. Below are a few pieces from this up and coming designer.

Next was Anette Kaumba, a Fashion Design graduate from the University of Johannesburg, and new to the Zambia Fashion Week Runway. We were positively taken by her wedding gowns.

Natasha Mwaba of Amplified Designs Zambia, unveiled a collection rich in bold-coloured chitenges.

Then it was Tumbo Kasanga's Afro Retro Fashion label, a collection we were glad to see embraced the fashion forward man. Notice the baby blue suit? Love!

Next, Tandiwe Tembo of Isa, We loved the Chitenge over the grey stone-wash dress and Zambian Flag colours over the red gown.

It was then time for a dose of the adorable with Charity Nyirongo's Mo'Creations and Couture Kids Line. It was characterised by skater dresses and playful colours.

During the Evening of Day Two, Designers that had taken the Zamtel Challenge, showcased their creations made from the official Zamtel fabric.

Following the  Challenge, Phelile of Veronica N. unveiled a vibrant and feminine collection aptly named 'NEON FUSION'.

Showcasing for the first time, all the way from the United Kingdom was Miniver Bwalya-Oliver of MNBO Intoluyane an accessories brand. She has previously showcased at the prestigious Africa Fashion Week London.

Also gracing the Zambia Fashion Week runway was Zimbabwean born designer, Annie Enelesi Maliki of Litso. A largely monochrome  collection, we loved the flow of the pieces.

It was then Mwangala Luhila of Eccentric Couture House, with a collection fit for the woman that loves glamour and is not afraid to make a statement.

The third-last designer of Day Two was Melanie Chirwa of MELZ, with a collection called Fusion. She took part in Zambia Fashion Week 2013 as an emerging designer.

It was then Deborah Chuma, of DebbieChu. We enjoyed her collection profusely. Inspired by the Past (the very distant past), this collection made us want to be a part of a fashion renaissance of our own. Loved It!

The final designers of the night were Uzangi, with a truly afrocentric collection. (We loved the clashing Chitenge prints.)
